I”m super patient and friendly, always finding a way to get tricky concepts across to my students so they can remember it when the time comes. I’m the kind of tutor that you can easily talk to, and I’ll make sure you’re inspired to do your best in everything you tackle.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

When I’m not studying, I’m all about music – from some calming classical music to some sweet 80s rock. I also play the electric guitar, and I’m always practicing, trying to be the best I can be!

During my A-levels, I developed a strong passion for mathematics and physics. I’m thrilled to offer tutoring in these subjects, aiming to deepen students’ enthusiasm and significantly enhance their understanding. I possess a range of effective revision techniques that I’m eager to share, along with some enjoyable habits to make the learning process more engaging and manageable.

What do you do in your spare time?

Apart from my academic pursuits, I take pleasure in watching films, playing football, and listening to music (especially Oasis!).

Hello! I’m Eloise, a First-Class Psychology Graduate from the University of Birmingham. I have an abundance of experience working with and supporting young people, whether that be tutoring children in schools or privately, or teaching swimming lessons (I have worked as a swim coach for the past six years).

What makes you a good tutor?

I strive to create a comprehensive and relaxed learning environment for my students whilst igniting fun and passion for Psychology, a subject I love. Homework, revision, and exams can all be stressful; however, the main way to do well is to work hard and believe in yourself. This comes with motivation and determination which I install in my student’s work ethic.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love to go to the gym, and to visit cafes for coffee and brunch (ask me for recommendations)!

I have an abundance of experience supporting students through their GCSEs and A-Levels. This, combined my academic credentials of A* in Maths, Biology and Chemistry at A-Level, has enabled me to hone my ability to listen and understand issues that my students experience, and tailor their lessons accordingly.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Beyond academics, I play various sports, including football, basketball, and climbing. These sports encourage communication and I see that as one of the key values to helping my students succeed.

I’m an enthusiastic, friendly, and approachable person and always try to make my students feel as comfortable as possible! I listen patiently to any concerns they have and ensure that all of them are addressed, so they come away with a much more confident mindset and we can work towards a better understanding of the material together.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Outside of work, I love making music with others, whether that be singing or figuring out a new piano or guitar melody with someone. I’m also a huge fan of making pottery, collecting houseplants, and an avid doodler – all my notebooks are covered in random little sketches!

Hi! I am Kim, a French and Spanish Graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University, currently working as a Sales Executive and tutoring in my spare time.

Having spent a year living aborad as part of my Degree (6 months in Spain, and 6 months in France to be specific!), I bring fluid translation experince to my lessons. I know how frustrating it can be learning a new langauge, especially when it doesn’t come naturally to you, which is why I wnsure that I tailor my lessons for each student, going at a pace that they can keep up with!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Outside of work and tutoring, I love walking, which means that you’ll catch me in the Peak District most weekends exploring new areas!

I believe in making sure that all of my students are relaxed and comfortable during their lessons, as this facilitates a healthy dialogue and learning envrionment. I usually prepare a short presentation to introduce the topic we have decioded to focus on for that session, and then explore this in greater detail through practice questions or discussions with the student.

What do you do in your spare time?

Outside of academica I enjoy playing team sports, and I am part of the University of Birmingham Medical School rugby and hockey teams!
